Artists Announcement 2015

The artists that will create the unique fabric of Plein Air Easton 2015 have been released!

Some interesting facts about this year's competition entries:

• We have FOUR grand prize winners from last year's competition joining us and 24 of last years' alumni returning.
• We have 11 alumni from past years returning this year
• Our East/West Coast Connection has brought us the 2014 Best in Show Grand Prize Winner at Laguna Plein Air, Jim McVicker who told me how much he's looking forward to painting for the first time in July in Easton, "I've heard many wonderful things about the event, as well as the heat."
• We have almost 2 dozen brand new participants this year - this is their FIRST Plein Air Easton so we're looking forward to showering them with Easton's charm and our Plein Air enthusiasm
• Competition entries were received from 20 states in addition to applicants from around the world.

We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to Elaine Adams, this year's jurist for her careful consideration of all the entries. We know her decisions must have been difficult given the caliber of art that was submitted. Her selections are going to shape this year's festival with an exceptional group of artists. Mrs. Adams is nationally recognized as one of the most dynamic and influential persons in the contemporary-traditional fine art arena and, with her artist husband Peter Adams, are recent recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award from PleinAir Magazine.
