Anette Power

Originally from a small island off the coast of Sweden, Anette Power has spent a lifetime observing and celebrating the beauty of the world around her. After immigrating to the United States, she worked for more than a decade as a Background Painter in animation, creating artwork for studios including Disney, Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, and Universal.

Plein air painting remains one of Anette's greatest passions. She enjoys the challenge of simplifying complex scenes and capturing the fleeting effects of light, color, and atmosphere. Painting outdoors helps her stay present and connected to the landscape, while continually sharpening her skills as an artist.

Anette works in both representational and abstract styles and is particularly interested in exploring the space between the two. She is an artist member of the California Art Club. She maintains a studio in Newbury Park, California, where she paints, teaches workshops, and continues her lifelong journey of learning and creating.
